Paul Martin began his youth playing career in Pascagoula, Ms. In 1983 he was a member of the Pacagoula High school soccer team that won the high school championship. As a member of the SRSC Blackhawks he was a state champion in 1982 and 1984. He played competitive soccer for 20 years in the United States and Mexico.
He started the first ever youth soccer team in George County in 1991. He helped start the high school soccer program at George County High in 1993 where he coached the girls and boys for 8 years. In 1999 he was named MYSA girls coach of the year for leading his u16 girls from Lucedale to a state championship. In 2001 he lead the George County high school girls team to the finals and was named Sun Herald girls coach of the year.
He has been involved in the state ODP program for 8 years currently serving the program as a scout for south Mississippi. He is a MSA/USYS Coaching Instructor. He is the lead Instructor for the south district. He led his 2009 u14boys team to the quarter finals of regional's.
Coach Martin is now the men's head coach at Pearl River Community College.
